With an axle diameter of 9 mm on the front wheel and 10 mm on the rear wheel, the Thru-Bolt system is a special type of attachment for bicycles. The DT Swiss Thru Bolt system is compatible with standard quick release dropouts, but requires the matching hubs. The more stable connection between frame and wheel results in greater rigidity.
