With the Cross Boss, the name says it all!
In the tire range of the traditional US manufacturer WTB, it is the boss on demanding cyclocross courses and in dusty gravel use.
With the different profile segments, WTB has designed the tire without compromise for speed on loose surfaces. The stepped studs in the middle section of the tread are close together and their arrangement minimizes rolling resistance. The adjacent two-stage studs, which are further apart, provide the necessary cornering grip and help the WTB Cross Boss to clean its profile well.

The WTB Cross Boss is designed for demanding cyclocross courses and fast gravel sections, combining control, precision, and speed. Its tread pattern is divided into clearly structured segments: closely spaced, stepped center knobs reduce rolling resistance and ensure efficient acceleration on hard, dry surfaces. On the sides, two-stage, more widely spaced knobs provide stable, predictable cornering and good self-cleaning in wet conditions. The TCS Light Fast Rolling casing offers a supple, lightweight foundation with reliable tubeless performance and a comfortable level of damping. This is complemented by the Dual DNA compound, which uses a harder, faster rolling resistance in the center and a softer material on the shoulders for traction in challenging sections. A versatile tire for anyone who demands real propulsion and secure grip in cyclocross and gravel riding.
