The Shadow Optimized Freecoaster hub was designed for hard street sessions and controlled fakie tricks. Its revised bushing resistance system ensures reliable drive engagement. A 14 mm hollow chromoly axle, a CNC-machined aluminum shell, and an integrated plastic hubguard on the non-drive side make it particularly appealing for grinds. Available in black, silver, and copper, in LHD or RHD.

The Shadow Optimized Freecoaster hub has been thoroughly designed with modern street BMX in mind. The non-drive side, in particular, is built for hard grinds and features a compact hub guard for added protection.
The included plastic hub guard simply slides over the existing axle cone. Thanks to the smaller spoke flanges, Shadow was also able to make the hub guard more compact without compromising protection during grinds.
Inside, a redesigned bushing resistance system is at work. It is designed to reduce the engagement issues found in earlier freecoaster designs and provide a more reliable feel when performing fakie tricks.
The CNC-machined aluminum housing is combined with a 14 mm hollow chromoly axle and a one-piece 9T chromoly driver. Four sealed industrial bearings ensure smooth operation.
With 36 spoke holes, the hub is suitable for compatible BMX rear wheels.
